Art quilt "Winter on the Wheat Field", designed and sewn with texture to inspire and uplift any space with a peaceful soft feeling.
When driving past the field in winter it looks as one muted color but you stop to see a beautiful tapestry of color and texture in the quiet snowy midwestern wheat field.
Upholstery and garment remnants compose this texture heavy piece, hand quilted with yarns of various thickness and color to complete a one of a kind modern art piece. I use yarn to quilt through three layers of textile it will change organically it is the nature of the material (wool, alpaca, cotton, or recycled water bottles). Each stitch travels through then is pulled back again so that it is not tight in any way -by design to create softness in the appearance, this is why some distinct areas are loose with yarns for shadows to play creating dimensional effect.
Spot clean only.
Easy hanging for display, rod pocket sewn on reverse, this piece has a wooden slat included.
