Backstory - A few years ago I had a dream that I was stuck in a dark little shack that was floating out to sea. It had no windows and I didn’t know where I was or how I got there. Suddenly, out of a hole in the floor, a polar bear’s head popped up through the floor and it looked right at me. I was worried at first but it had such warm and friendly eyes that I decided, without question, to follow it. I knew it would help me. I dove down into the ocean and found I was able to breathe underwater when I was swimming with it. Eventually, I made it to land feeling confident and protected. Ever since then, when I need extra strength to get through a hard time, I think of the polar bear and the awe inspiring power of its presence.

Choose from a Tahitian abalone sky that resembles the arctic tundra or a Northern Lights background.

  • Polar Bear feet - Green abalone 
  • Sky - Northern Lights Awabi abalone or Tahitian black-lip abalone
  • Water - Blue tinted Paua abalone
  • Clear cz stones serve as the time markers in the sky.

What's special about a Celeste Watch?
 
  • Every watch dial is handcrafted in our studio in Oregon. Dials are primarily abalone shell and/or Mother of Pearl inlays but many also contain wood and metal pieces. 
  • Watch cases are polished 316L hypoallergenic stainless steel. 316L is the hardest stainless steel available so our watches is considered very durable.
  • Movements are Swiss made and of high quality. The battery life is approximately 18 months from the time of assembly or last service.
  • Every watch has a Sapphire crystal. The crystal or glass on your watch case is extraordinarily scratch-resistant. Sapphire has a value of 9 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness. This makes it the 3rd hardest natural substance next to moissanite (synthetic diamonds) and diamonds. Its fracture toughness is around 4 times greater than that of Gorilla Glass. Sapphire is also clearer than glass and has less glare which allows the vibrant colors of the handcrafted watch dials to pop.
  • All Celeste watches are water resistant from 100-150 feet, depending on the size.
  • Many colorful leather strap colors are available for every Celeste watch. From electric blue, purple, and red to turquoise, pumpkin, and grey there is a color for everyone. Metal bands are also available for the same price.
