This one of a kind piece is created from white earthenware clay. It is wheel-thrown and hand sculpted. The 4 legs are added to the vessel and an intricately sculpted leopard frog is positioned on the lip in a realistic pose. Once bisque fired, multiple layers of colored underglazes are painted overall. The frog is painted in in a pattern to look like its natural texture.
The piece is signed on the bottom and a clear glaze is painted overall.
