An updated version of a simple shaker bench with borrowed elements of Japanese joinery. The shaker’s weren’t know to be flashy but I never minded calling a little attention to myself. Super sturdy with through tenons in the seat and wedged tenons in the lower stretcher.
We designed this hall bench to sit in an entry way to give guest a place to take off their winter boots or put on shoes at the end of a visit. It tucks along a wall nicely, out of the way, but comfortable enough for guests to hang out in the kitchen while dinner is finished.
Available in ash, blackened white oak white washed ash, cherry or walnut.
Finished with a wiping varnish except the white washed ash which is finished with a hard wax oil.
