This piece has classic Shaker design elements such as the tapered legs and solid wood shelf. The legs splay out at two degrees and the aprons under the top have a gentle curve to soften the angles and give it a more modern feel. The mitered frame of the top surrounds seven iterations of the asa-no-ha kumiko pattern in basswood with a glass insert.
