This is a contemporary modern art quilt inspired by Rupaul and the namesake song.
This piece was created on my home sewing machine, using mainly improvisational patchwork techniques, and applique in a few places. The top was then layered with batting, and quilted with straight-line quilting to allow the main image to shine. The edges are finished with hand-sewn binding.
Materials: cotton fabric, batting, thread
Dimensions: 23” x 20 1/2” x 1”
Hanging: this piece hangs easily via an included hanging sleeve and dowel. Alternatively, consult with your local art framer for alternate options.
Care: Avoid hanging in direct sunlight or in close proximity to heaters or incandescent bulbs. Clean lightly with a lint brush, as needed.
