Sewn from a beautiful vintage silk kimono. The blue/grey background is covered with traditional Japanese good luck designs. Under are boats floating in ocean waves, chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, bamboo and pine trees and over it all, cranes fly. This is a full, roomy jacket, I call it 'oversize.' There are angled pockets at the sides. Fully lined with silk charmeuse. Four mother of pearl buttons line the front.
Garment measures 56 inches bust, 58 inches hips, length at center back 33 1/2 inches. Oversize, one size fits most.

All pieces are hand made one at a time in my Portland, Oregon studio. Fabrics are vintage Japanese silks. The very special fabric used in this coat was woven, stenciled and painted by Japanese artisans and finally sewn into a kimono. I removed the hand stitching, washed and prepared the fabric and sewed it into my oversize coat design.
Each piece I make is unique, most are one of a kind. I ship USPS priority at the beginning of the week.
