Two Sticks is 9x20x6” and made from sticks, painted pine, and barn siding.
In Two Sticks the “outer life” rather than the inner life of a stick is displayed. The brash woodgrain shows off its years of growth. Often, I play with the conventions of painting, like with the small frame surrounding the pine. This can be hung vertically.
