Pink Canoe is 53x8x2", and is made from painted ash, found wood and barn wood.
The core pieces of wood are gray-painted siding, a natural stick with bark intact, and more gray siding. I wanted the ash woodgrain to feel wild and the barn wood to feel calm. There are lots of subtle color choices throughout. It felt like applying makeup in a good way, a way that reveals its character.
