The interior boasts a lustrous black glaze, contrasting elegantly with the natural, unglazed exterior clay sourced from the western region of North Carolina. Formulated by Takuro Shibata and obtained from Starworks Ceramics in Star, NC, the clay featured in this bowl showcases a distinctive iron-rich reddish-brown hue. This bowl measures 6.25 inches in height, 7.75 inches in width, and 6.5 inches in depth.
