When I learned to sew clothes, false pockets were a popular design element, lots of work for little use. As I made this quilt, I was reflecting on trying to make a living by sewing. It is made with my own hand dyed silk broadcloth, freehand cut, raw-edge applique and free-motion quilting with silk threads.
