I use traditional Japanese methods in the creation of each chawan to give detail to all of the essential parts such as: the Kuchi Zukuri, which is the mouth opening or lip; the Chadamari, known as the tea well where the last of the tea pools; the Chasen Zuri, the spot where the chasen whisk rubs; the Kodai Waki or the division between the foot and the body at the bottom of the tea bowl's side; the Kodai Uchi inside of the foot, specifically its center; the Kodai or the foot of the bowl; the Koshi or the hip; and the Do, the body of the tea bowl.
