This necklace is as much sculpture as jewelry. Sitting like a collar, it is made of pentagonal plates of beadwork joined together by asymmetrical frames. Small glass cabochons sit on some of the plates, serving to magnify the beadwork designs underneath.
Despite its size this necklace is very lightweight and sits comfortably. The hinges between the plates allow it to drape over the wearer. The necklace is fastened with a gold plated magnetic clasp.
The inner circumference of the necklace is about 15” including the clasp. The outer circumference is about 23”, with the largest plate being 2” across.
Handwoven from seed beads and monofilament.
