This one of a kind brooch is designed and handcrafted by artist Vershali Jain. It's true marvel is in the bright beautiful enameling achieved through unconventional cloisonné technique Jain perfected over the years. The brooch is from artists new series of work NATSUKASHII, where she took elements of her fond memories and mold them into sculptural pieces. PAAN or heart shaped betel leaves is a loved Indian delicacy and after food delight. Heart shape is identified as paan motif in Southeast Asia because of its cultural popularity and ceremonial implications. Paan was once thought of as a symbol of Indian royalty, and the practice of chewing it dates back more than 2,500 years.
