This little hoop differs from my other hoops in that I experimented with using spray paint and painting the wooden hoop. The hoop also has some thread wrapping.
My embroideries are improvisational compositions on salvaged kimono silk. I usually take the pattern of the silk as a starting point for the stitches. I use miyuki beads and a variety of different threads to make my hoops.
This 6” hoop is finished with a felt backing and my initials on the back. It is a complete work of art, ready to hang.
