“Hypholoma Sublateritium”, 11 in x 12 in x 17.5 in
This cluster of mushrooms came to life after participating in a series of fungi workshops in the fall of 2021 in the Blue Ridge Mountains. In honor of this life changing opportunity in learning the language of the mushroom and how to identify them, I sculpted our last mushroom we researched- “Hypholoma Sublateritium”. This hand-sculpted and carved porcelain mushroom is fired to cone 6, finished with multiple layers of gouache paint and sealed.
