Art quilt "Early Fall", designed and created to brighten inspire and uplift any space with a joyful soft texture.
Upcycled velvet, linen, cotton and upholstery fabrics are hand quilted to complete a one of a kind modern textile art piece. All textiles celebrated in my quilts are sourced via sustainable practice from furniture makers, small upholsterers and upcycled preloved garments. I use yarn to quilt through three layers of textile it will change organically it is the nature of the material (wool, alpaca, cotton, or recycled water bottles). Each stitch travels through then is pulled back again only a little so that it is not tight -by design to create softness in the appearance, this is why some distinct areas are loose with yarns for shadows to play creating dimensional effect.
