  • About This Artist

I was born in a small city in eastern China, it wasn't until I came to Savannah College of Art and Design that I embarked on my jewelry journey. Currently, I completed my master's degree in jewelry. I chose this path because I realized that jewelry is a language for me, an interesting, multi-layered, unrestricted, and borderless language. It became my way to share. The more I take in, the more I want to express and “speak” to others through my language, jewelry.

  • Q&A With This Artist

A: Since I was a child, I have been told to pursue perfection, as if the pursuit is a lifelong process. What is perfection? There are many imperfections in the world, and they bring different personalities and beauty. Finding beauty in them becomes an interesting process that I enjoy. My jewelry is a symbol of beauty. My continued pursuit of beauty is expressed through my obsession with jewelry. I want to put these imperfections into my works, elevating their beauty in the form of jewelry.

A: I am looking for imperfect objects, respecting their existence and treating them like precious materials, and bringing them a new life into my jewelry, much like diamonds being set in precious metal. I want my pieces at first glance to be beautiful and perfect, but at a closer look, you will find they are made by imperfections. That is what gives them life. By looking at these pieces, I hope people will think about other imperfections in their life. and find the value and beauty in them.
