Lighting • WHOLESALE AVAILABLE • CUSTOM COMMISSIONS

I create unique lighting out of domestic hardwoods that is either turned on a lathe or paired with hand blown or artisan glass. The pendant lamps use vibrant exterior and interior dyes to compliment the palette of any space. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors and are made one at a time to the customers specifications.

Q&A with the Artist

Tell us how your work is made.

The wood used is carefully selected for its grain and suitability for dye. Only sustainable domestic hardwoods are used. Once assembled, it is placed on a lathe and then turned with traditional carving tools. Custom non-toxic dyes highlight the beauty of the wood while adding a new aesthetic element not found in nature. It is finished with several coats varnish and polish to a beautiful luster.

What makes you passionate about the medium you work with?

While most lighting is mass produced from stamped metal, I find that working with wood creates a special warmth and history to the pieces. Although they look great in sets of two or three, each is unique. I really enjoy the process of creating these and knowing that they help transform the spaces they are displayed in.

What is something unique about you or your practice?

Customers can select the exterior color and interior color for their pendants allowing them to customize them to fit the palette of their space.
