Meet the Artist
About This Artist
My work reflects a passion for the tools and techniques of traditional copper and silver-smithing. My work is influenced chiefly by the Arts and Crafts and the Art Nouveau styles, though I draw inspiration from contemporary and historic sources from across the globe. Rough hammer marks, texture, and patina's that connect the maker's hand to the product are a defining feature of my work.
Q&A With This Artist
A: I work in mostly sterling silver and copper. The silver is often recycled heirloom silver that is melted down and given new life as a modern creation.
A: I love the way that silver and copper can be truly plastic under the hammer. Their forms are only limited by the tools and imagination of the smith.
A: My constant push to incorporate new methods and styles of metalworking into my own pieces keeps me moving forward and continually expanding as an artist.
