Meet the Artist
About This Artist
I have been an artist, a jeweler and a teacher for over 25 years, currently I teach at LIU and Pratt Institute. My work is inspired by the textures of my urban environment; the patterns of nature and industry competing for a voice. For me, the handmade is a necessity; the delight in a student's eyes when they methodically fabricate a simple form, a poem, something personal. To create art with your hands is a gift, a form of solace in a world where everything is instantaneous.
