I am a furniture maker whose focus is creating unique writing desks and tables. I believe my designs rise to the level of art and my goal is to appeal to those who seek more out of their home furnishings...those who have a deep appreciation for hand craftsmanship and creative design. I utilize only responsibly sourced hardwoods and reclaimed lumber. A wide range of power and hand tools assist me in bringing my designs to life in my studio in Upstate New York.

Q&A with the Artist

Tell us how your work is made.

The beginning is an idea that I sketch out with pencil and paper. When I am convinced that a design is worthwhile, I obtain the necessary lumber and proceed to get to work in the studio. A wide range of power and hand tools assist me as I bring my design to life.


What makes you passionate about the medium you work with?

I have always enjoyed working with wood and I am a creative person at heart. I believe that the many types of woods available are a gift from nature, offering an incredibly vast range of grain, color and figure. For me, woodworking is a fusion of nature's gifts and my never-ending need to be creative.

What is something unique about you or your practice?

Flowing curves married to linear shapes, unusual leg placements and unexpected color combinations all contribute to the uniqueness of my designs.
