  • Q&A With This Artist

A: I painstakingly hand-tool wood to create time and space inspired pieces that are bold, minimal, emotional, and modernly refined. My work is guided by the purity in concept and the richness in form and color. I respect natural materials and traditional craftsmanship. In my pieces, I try to create contrast, rhythm, depth, tension, and a sense of discovery. I seek to capture an elusive beauty that combines the poetic and mysterious with a feeling of serenity and purity.

A: I found the inner peace when I work with wood.

A: I'm an architect turned artist. I struggle a lot to balance my role as a full time artist and a full time mom.

A: To be honest, every time when I create something new, I’m amazed! I still do after all these years and can not wait to make next idea into something tangible.

A: I do not have a person like that in my life, but I believe Isamu Noguchi and Le Corbusier have shaped my artistic practice.
