Q&A With This Artist
A: High quality crystal glass, aluminum and stainless steel. Materials are manufactured and sourced domestically. I create form, pattern and texture in glass by blowing glass into hand carved graphite molds. The resulting "blanks" are then cut apart, polished and reassembled within metal armatures. I also create one of a kind stand alone sculptural vessels.
A: For me, it is starting with a shapeless, molten, moving material to create a defined form that has sprung from my imagination. I think of it as playing with lava.
A: The act of making the work itself. Ideas come faster than I can produce them.
