  • Q&A With This Artist

A: My work begins with cherishing personal experiences along with a reflection or memory evoking where I am, where my people were or have been. The abstraction is utilized as a tool, obscuring known places with color, reconstructing own memory and creating a new collective understanding. I redevelop these experienced images by carefully sifting on many layers of colored glass powders and then fusing them together using intense heat.
