Meet the Artist

  • About This Artist

Having grown up under the open skies of rural Indiana, surrounded by animals and agriculture, Heather early on discovered a love for drawing everything in sight. A community arts center class led to her fascination with jewelry and two decades later, she is as enamored with the metalsmithing process as ever. "There's something comforting about the feel of my favorite tools in hand and being able to turn metal sheet and wire into a piece of jewelry that will be treasured and worn everyday."

  • Q&A With This Artist

A: Heather Guidero Jewelry uses sterling silver and high karat gold to cast and hand fabricate each piece, along with select gemstones. We work with a caster who utilizes recycled gold and silver, and the gold and silver we fabricate with is recycled or produced by small scale conflict-free mines. Stones are sourced from reputable dealers who work directly with small mines and stone cutters.

A: “Settling in at my bench and picking up my favorite antique files is as natural and reflexive as breathing. There's something comforting about the feel of my favorite tools in hand and being able to turn a sheet of metal or length of wire into a piece of jewelry that will be treasured and worn on a regular basis.”

A: I've been taking virtual yoga classes every day though my local yoga studio for almost a year and each class helps keep me grounded and strong, both mentally and physically. The support and encouragement from retail partners and private clients has also helped to keep us moving forward with new designs during this year.
