All About Comfort Collection BmoreArt is getting ready to release its spring print journal—our eleventh—and our theme for this issue is comfort. Comfort has been difficult to find for the past year and, in staying at home and avoiding most social contact (except for Zoom), it has been enlightening to realize that certain objects, sensations, foods, smells, and sounds can all bring so much comfort to those who need it. This year, ACC’s craft show is virtual, but there is no shortage of beautifully made objects which manifest the sensation of comfort: blankets and weavings, cozy textiles and wearables, ceramics and objects for the home, as well as jewelry and accessories that are easy to wear and make one feel better.
About BmoreArt BmoreArt is an independent, Baltimore-based magazine that reflects the art and culture of the city and its surrounding region, including Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. BmoreArt provides creative and critical coverage of the cultural landscape and works with a diverse team of local writers, editors, and artists, updating its online site daily. Their thematic print journal is released twice a year in fall and spring, and during COVID-19 closures, BmoreArt started a new subscription service to ship magazines directly to readers’ at homes, in order to engage with the art of their place and time in a safe and socially distant way.
