After a year of social distancing, we are excited to spend time with friends and family. Gathered around a table filled with delicious offerings as stories are told and laughter shared. To reflect this desire, Baltimore Clayworks has assembled an eclectic array of wares that enhance an experience of home comforts.
Even during the pandemic, as we longed to be face to face, handcrafted pottery served as a surrogate—mugs and bowls as stand-ins for our friends, so we never dined alone. Carefully selecting the individual from the kitchen cupboard, holding that cup in our hands and maker in our hearts.
The unifying theme of Baltimore Clayworks’ collection is not visual, but emotional. Imagine these pieces laden with food and passed around a table filled with friends. We’ve curated objects of beauty to keep us company, elegant works pared down to their functional essence and well-crafted art to remind us of the resilience of creativity.
