Meet the Artist
About This Artist
My earliest childhood memory is of my tiny hands scribbling shapes on to paper and pretending they were words. Writing has been a part of my life since I can remember and journaling is a practice that was passed down by my mother who has documented over 40 years of her life on to paper. My journals have been safe place for me most of my life and I take great pride in creating that safe place for others.
Q&A With This Artist
A: We design each cover and laser cut each journal cover in house. The covers are made from Birch Wood and Chipboard and these materials are sourced from local venders. All of our journals are filled with 100% sugarcane paper and we bind them manually ourselves to insure a sturdy bind.
A: I'm an avid journaler and "I Get It From My MaMa" because she was an avid journaler and has documented majority of her life through journaling. My journals have been my safe place for me most of my life and I take great pride in creating that safe place for others. My journal has also been the starting point for many of my greatest accomplishments. I bind each journal with the thought that something amazing could happen here, healing could happen here, or it could just be a place for someone to write down their grocery list. In which case I'm totally fine with that too. But, this is my way of offering positivity and healing into the world. It is my goal to create items that inspire and encourage others to reach their greatest potential and be the most authentic version of themselves.
A: Seeing the impact my product has on my customers. Hearing their feedback and how they use their journals. Also hearing how their loved ones respond to getting them as gifts.
