I make pots that quietly exist in domestic landscapes. I am guided by the principle that craftsmanship demonstrates care. Making is a way of connecting with the world. I find meaning knowing that my work exists in people's homes as a part of their daily routines, celebrations, and quiet moments. The ceramic process is very challenging, but comes with profound reward. It is a joy to share this pursuit with others. All of my one-of-a-kind pots are created in my home studio in Saint Paul, MN.

Q&A with the ArtistTell us how your work is made.My pots are thrown on the wheel, cut, and reconstructed. I work carefully, paying attention to symmetry, rhythm, and touch. I practice restraint, acknowledging practicality and the control I will relinquish when each pot is put to use in the world. All of my one-of-a-kind pots are created in my home studio in Saint Paul, MN. They are made of stoneware clay, and fired to cone 6 in and electric kiln. |
