  • About This Artist

Weaving has been in my family for generations. I love crossing the threads and creating unique pieces. Each Rug/Tapestry is Hand woven on a Foot Pedal Loom with the rich colors derived from vegetable and aniline dyes. Each piece is inspired by nature, my ancestors, our daily life, and specially the wonders of the Pacific Northwest.

  • Q&A With This Artist

A: The materials used for my weavings are a foot pedal loom, sheep wool, cotton warp, vegetable and aniline dyes, which are used in all my pieces. The techniques and methods used in each weaving stay consistent flows, but the design flows as we go and how we feel around the loom.

A: My passion for my medium comes from my culture and being able to connect it to the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, whether it be in the dyes or wool that we use.

A: The thing that keeps me inspired is my ability to share the beauty of my culture through my weavings and sharing my vision of what that culture is with the people around me.
