Q&A With This Artist
A: I use a multitude of mid-range clay bodies. Occasionally, I mean very occasionally, I source my clay from the iron rich Oklahoma soil. I use an array of methods in my studio practice such as wheel throwing, hand building, and extruding.
A: Pottery is an ancient practice, yet it is still being discovered, created, collected, used, displayed, and enjoyed. This is the source of my passion for pottery, its unceasing contribution to culture.
A: People seem to like what I make! I love to hear their stories of how my pots have integrated into their daily lives. Their generosity and enjoyment in my work is what is feeding my creativity at the moment.
