Q&A with the Artist

Tell us how your work is made.

I usually start with an inspiration, sketch all the designs, then refine the design, select the material, then I will start making the prototype, once the prototype is done, I will refine them, adjusting the details until I am happy with them. Then I will start making the actual pieces. All metal work are done by me, I also do all the beading part.

What makes you passionate about the medium you work with?

I used to work with clothing so I love to work with needles (hand embroidery), Beaded jewelry allows me to incorporate something that I was passionate about in clothing design into jewelry.

What is something unique about you or your practice?

I use Japanese glass seed bead, chains and stone to create my designs, this combination is very unique and innovative for beaded glass jewelry. I also tends to work with more muted and simple color to achieve a modern and elegant esthetics.
